Twitter’s CFO Accidentally Posts Private Message

If Twitter’s CFO can’t get the hang of the social media site, what chance do the rest of us have? It seems that the bosses aren’t immune from making the occasional slip up!

It was earlier this week when Anthony Noto, who has only been at the company since July this year, posted a public message which was intended to be sent directly.

This has highlighted the privacy problems with the site, as it seems that it is very easy to mix up your direct messages and tweets, no matter who you are!

In February, Twitter’s CEO Dick Costolo promised that this year’s changes to the site would be for the benefit of the users, making it easier to navigate. The recent posting mistake has left social media users wondering if they have actually made it any easier to use, or complicated the site!

Noto’s tweet gave details of the company’s interest in investing in another company purchase. It said, ‘I still think we should buy them. He is on your schedule for Dec 15 or 16 – we will need to sell him. I have a plan.’

The question on everybody’s lips is which company they are referring to and what it will mean for Twitter users. Although there is plenty of speculation to the mystery company’s identity but only time will tell where Twitter’s next venture is heading!
