Bing revealed as the default search engine for iOS7

The eagerly awaited iOS7 has been launched by Apple and is the system to be used by both tablet and mobile devices.

There have been a number of small additions to the new system but the most significant change noticed by users is a switch to Bing within the Siri personal assistant system. Previously, Google was used to provide results.

In addition to this move to Bing for searches, when users first open up the internet, they will now be prompted to change their default search engine to Bing; however, this is purely optional and doesn’t have to be accepted.

Initial feedback from users to the new system has been positive, although the amount of space needed for the update to be installed and the length of the installation time has generated a number of complaints.
