Piranha discover more new talent

Tom Smethurst

Preston-based internet services provider Piranha Internet, part of the Piranha Group, have recently appointed Thomas Smethurst as a Web Developer. Tom joins a growing creative team that has been supplying digital solutions to the region's business community, local authorities and the NHS for over ten years.

Tom, a graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University is the third graduate to benefit from Piranha's 'Graduate Apprenticeship Scheme'. The scheme allows the brightest and most talented graduates to establish themselves in a thriving and dynamic creative environment. Peter Bamber, Creative Director at Piranha commented, 'The two main prerequisites to join of the scheme are talent and enthusiasm, Tom has an abundance of both. he has displayed a strong work ethic coupled with a knowledge of web development that belies his age.'

The 23 year-old will be supporting senior developers on national and international accounts, working with local government agencies and large commercial enterprises. Tom's appointment strengthens the expanding creative digital and web development team, bringing with him a youthful enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Tom joins an established team of creative professionals at Piranha Internet with a proven track record for delivering creative online solutions across a wide range of markets. Piranha currently has 14 employees with turnover in the region of £1m per year having completed over 6,000 marketing projects. Piranha celebrated 10 successful years in business in July 2011.
